About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at a beginner to intermediate level looking to build a career in geotechnical and environmental testing. You’ll receive on-the-job training and work in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing field testing with precision and accuracy
  • Supporting project management and customer engagement
  • Providing technical input on wider company projects

This role is hands-on and physical, occasionally requiring work in challenging environmental conditions, with early starts or late finishes.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A people-person with excellent communication skills
  • Able to think on their feet and make sound decisions
  • Comfortable working autonomously and within a team
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality work
  • Physically capable of lifting items up to 25 kg
  • Digitally savvy, especially with Microsoft Excel and Word

Nā tōu rourou | What You’ll Bring

  • A degree or diploma in Geography, Geology, Earth Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, or similar
  • A full, clean NZ driver’s licence (Class 1)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • A safety-conscious and customer-focused mindset
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and career development
