Geosales National Manager

Brigitte is the Geosales National Manager and also oversees the Measurement & Calibration Centre. She is responsible for the continued growth of our sales, hire, and calibration services through growing our integrated operating systems to ensure profitability and product development.

Brigitte also manages the training of staff to ensure they are capable and confident in their roles. She advises on day-to-day operations by supporting pricing jobs for clients, trouble shooting technical issues, and sharing industry knowledge.

 

John King

John King

Sales Engineer

John is a Sales Engineer based in Auckland. He is responsible for quoting on the technical aspects for laboratory setups, telemetry and instrumentation solutions along with general technical assistance. Part of his role also involves building relationships with our valued customers across New Zealand.

John is an active member of the Civil Engineering Testing Association of New Zealand (CETANZ), where he volunteers as the Careers & Events Working Group Lead and the Conference Convenor.

Hire & Products Advisor

Tim is a Hire & Products Advisor based in Christchurch, and is primarily responsible for South Island rentals. This involves servicing and calibrating equipment for hire. With extensive customer service experience, he also provides customer service support for the Sales and Hire team, as well as the Measurement & Calibration Centre.

Hire & Products Technical Advisor

Jordan is a Hire & Products Technical Advisor based in Auckland, and is primarily responsible for North Island rentals. This involves calibrating and servicing field investigation, environmental monitoring and concrete testing equipment.

He also provides additional support to the Sales team, as well as the Measurement & Calibration Centre.

Clark is a Sales Consultant based in Auckland. He is responsible for providing ongoing support to customers which involves providing timely quotes and updates as well as assisting with customer enquiries to ensure our customers get what they need, when they need it.

He also regularly visits customers on-site, and attends industry events and conferences as well.

Phil is Geotechnics' Procurement Coordinator based in Auckland. He is responsible for the purchasing of stock, inventory control and coordinating with local and international suppliers. He also assists with day-to-day orders from customers, and arranges the assembly and delivery of larger orders.

Managing Director

Vic is the Managing Director of Geotechnics, and has been involved in engineering materials testing since 1975. His areas of specialist expertise include engineering applications for soil, concrete, aggregate and concrete products, together with specialist geotechnical testing and instrumentation validation.

Vic has had numerous overseas assignments in southeast Asia involving specialist geotechnical investigations and testing, pavement condition surveys, pile condition assessments and the management of field testing operations.

Steven is the Operations & Technical Manager based in Auckland. He has over 30 years of experience in a range of civil engineering laboratory and field tests on materials such as concrete, aggregate, rock, and soil.

Steven is also a Project Director, coordinating testing work on many large investigation and construction projects such as Northern Gateway SH1, Grafton Gully Arterial redevelopment, Redvale Landfill, Whitford Landfill, as well as other regional and national projects.

He is responsible for the Tauranga, Hamilton, Wellington, Nelson and Christchurch offices, and is an IANZ signatory for Tauranga, Wellington and Christchurch.

Paul is also a Project Director for variety of projects in New Zealand and the Pacific region. These projects range in size from small residential properties through to mining and large scale site investigations.

Projects Manager

Anthony is a Projects Manager at Geotechnics based in Auckland. He oversees over 20 staff across the Pūhoi to Warkworth Motorway Project and the Construction Materials Testing Field team.

Anthony is an IANZ signatory across field, laboratory, and concrete testing in the Auckland and Pūhoi offices. He was also involved in the set-up of two satellite laboratories for large NZTA projects.

Business Development Manager

Kade is the Business Development Manager for Geotechnics. With a background in technical support, he provides technical and strategic planning advice to lead business development. He has a keen interest in future trends and how technology can be used to drive efficiency and productivity.

He actively attends conferences and industry events across New Zealand, and is a member of Engineering NZ, Civil Engineering Testing Association of New Zealand (CETANZ) and Civil Contractors NZ.

Kate is the Marketing Manager for Geotechnics. She is responsible for developing and delivering Geotechnics' digital and social media strategies, and oversees the management of events, conferences and sponsorship opportunities to promote and build brand awareness.

Kate also manages our Customer Experience Programme, which aims to foster a customer-centric mindset in our business. This involves regularly seeking and reviewing customer feedback to continually work to improve how we deliver the best possible end-to-end experience for our customers.

Site Investigation Team Leader

Will is the Site Investigation Team Leader for Geotechnics based in Auckland. He has extensive knowledge and experience in Paleoceanography, Palaeontology, Petroleum Geology, and Geophysics, and has also carried out research in the field of climate science and biogeochemistry.

He is responsible for coordinating the Site Investigation team to ensure the delivery of quality geotechnical reports used in engineering projects throughout New Zealand. This covers all aspects of the site investigation process, from initial contact with a client, initial assessment, health and safety management, data gathering, and report production and presentation.

Matt is the Pavements Team Leader for Geotechnics based in Auckland. He has extensive experience having worked across various disciplines during his time at Geotechnics, from Field and Laboratory to Instrumentation and Sales.

He is responsible for overseeing a team of Pavement Technicians, coordinating site visits and testing, staff training, ensuring a quality service is provided to customers, and developing customer relationships.

Chris is the Instrumentation Team Leader for Geotechnics based in Auckland. He is responsible for the installation and monitoring of geotechnical and structural instrumentation in the Auckland area. He also oversees a team of technicians and their development and training.

He has worked on various instrumentation projects including the Waterview Connection, Victoria Park Tunnel, New Lynn Rail Trench, Esmonde Road Interchange and Northern Busway.

Soils Laboratory Manager

Sim is the Soils Laboratory Manager for Geotechnics, and an IANZ signatory based in Auckland. He has extensive knowledge and experience with testing on soil, aggregate, cement, asphalt, and other construction materials.

He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Soils Laboratory, supervision and training of senior and junior technicians, planning testing schedules, and providing quality testing services to customers.

Triaxial Laboratory Manager

Helen is the Triaxial Laboratory Manager at Geotechnics, and an IANZ signatory based in Auckland. With extensive experience in commercial testing and researching, her fields of expertise include Triaxial, Shearbox, Ringshear, Permeability, Pinhole and Isotropic Consolidation tests.

She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Triaxial Laboratory, providing customers with quality testing services, and supervising junior technicians.

Construction Materials Field Team Leader

Dan is the CMT Field Team Leader for Geotechnics based in Auckland. His role involves overseeing a team of Field Technicians, organising site visits and testing, liaising with clients and engineers to understand the scope of work, and informing clients of test results.

He has extensive testing knowledge having spent time working in both the sales and calibration teams as well as working in an IANZ-accredited testing laboratory, and as a Field Technician on a variety of land development projects.

Wesley is an Environmental Technician for Geotechnics based in Auckland. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Geography, he joined Geotechnics in 2019. His role involves monitoring gas, water and occasionally soil, primarily on Closed Landfills across the Auckland region.

Sarah is a Geophysics Technician for Geotechnics based in Auckland. She has a BSc in Geophysics from the University of Leeds, and carries out underground service locating for a variety of projects in the Auckland area.

Utilising Ground Penetration Radar (GPR) and Electromagnetic Induction (EMI) tools, she provides advice to inform project planning and design decisions on residential, commercial and public projects.

Corey is the Christchurch Manager for Geotechnics. He oversees the staff in the Christchurch office and is responsible for coordinating the laboratories to ensure accurate results and quality assurance. He has experience in geotechnical field and laboratory testing throughout Australia and New Zealand, working on projects of all sizes from large scale mining to small residential site investigations.

He is the IANZ and NATA signatory for the Christchurch area, and is a Committee Member of the Civil Engineering Testing Association of New Zealand (CETANZ).

Mike is the Site Services Geotechnical Project Leader for Geotechnics based in Christchurch. He completed a BSc in Geology and Geography and joined Geotechnics in 2013, and has worked on a variety of projects from rail to roading to contaminated land, as well as a number of natural disaster responses throughout New Zealand.

Steven is a Senior Geotechnical Technician for Geotechnics in Nelson. He has a BSc in Geology, Geography and Anthropology from the University of Canterbury, and is responsible for the continued growth of Geotechnics in the Nelson/Marlborough region.

Previously, he was based in Christchurch where he was involved in a wide range of post-earthquake projects from geotechnical investigations to instrumentation installation and monitoring.
