Inventory & Procurement Specialist – Auckland

We’re looking for a highly motivated Inventory & Procurement Specialist to take ownership of our warehouse, stock and purchasing operations.

About the role

This role is centred on true ownership and offers a wide range of varied responsibilities. You’ll manage our technical products inventory, procurement, stock control, and ordering while overseeing picking/packing and despatch as well as helping out answering phones and communicating with our customers.  This role ensures everything runs smoothly from supplier to shelf to customer.You’ll be trusted to:

  • Keep our high‑frequency stock items available and flowing
  • Manage purchasing and supplier relationships
  • Maintain a tidy, efficient, well‑organised warehouse
  • Ensure orders are accurate, on time and well communicated
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience every time

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing stock levels to ensure critical items are always available
  • Analysing stock turns, ageing stock and upcoming demand
  • Raising and managing purchase orders and following up suppliers
  • Receipting stock accurately and promptly into our systems
  • Managing warehouse layout, stock locations and cleanliness
  • Overseeing picking, packing and dispatch of customer orders with care and accuracy
  • Proactively updating customers on order status and delivery changes
  • Managing quarterly stocktakes and minimising stock variances
  • Identifying supply risks and solving problems before they arise
  • Assisting with incoming phone enquiries and customer service
  • Assisting with walk in stock orders and enquiries
  • Driving continuous improvement in systems and processes

About you

You’re a proactive individual who takes initiative, values doing things well, and steps up without needing direction.You’ll bring:

  • Experience in inventory, warehouse or stock management (minimum 2 years preferred)
  • Strong computer skills and confidence working with systems
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • A genuine passion for great customer service
  • The ability to juggle priorities and stay calm under pressure
  • Clear, confident communication skills (written and verbal)
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset
  • A strong sense of ownership and accountability
