The Vacuum Pycnometer Set is used to determine the maximum specific gravity of bituminous paving mixtures with maximum aggregate size up to 19 mm. It has a total volume of 4.3 L, with a 2.9 L maximum sample volume. A sample size of 2500 g is required. The set includes 1 x aluminium volumetric canister, 1 x volumetric lid, 1 x fat, vinyl vacuum lid with O-ring and 1 x metal water vacuum aspirator with 3/8 ” IPT and 6′ hose with release valve and fittings.
